History

1935 - Founding of Scana Konservenfabrik AG in Schaan by Toni Hilti

1961 - Introduction of frozen food production

1971 - The founder's sons, Ekkehard and Jürgen Hilti take over the company and split it from the other 'Scana' companies in Switzerland

1973 - Renaming of Scana Konservenfabrik AG to Hilcona AG

1980 - Strategic expansion into the chilled foods market

1984 - Development of chilled foods production and marketing in Switzerland

1988 - Founding of the subsidiary Hilcona Feinkost GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany, to cover the high value foods market
